Monument to Armenian policemen killed or missing in Karabakh war unveiled in Yerevan

On April 15, the Police Academy of Armenia hosted an event dedicated to the Police Day in Armenia.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended the event to unveil a monument to 135 Armenian policemen killed or missing in the Karabakh war.

Head of the Police Academy of Armenia Lieutenant General Hovhannes Varyan said that the monument is of great importance, since people, who sacrificed their life for the Fatherland, can never be forgotten.

Varyan added that currently the Police Academy of Armenia implements reforms.

Relatives of the perished policemen also participated in the event and laid flowers at the monument.
