Famous Armenian actor, USSR People’s Artist Sos Sargsyan addressed an open letter to Barack Obama, calling on the U.S. President to fulfil his promise by recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

“We, Armenians, were glad to see you elected as a President. We hoped that you, whose ancestors were subjected to the hardships of slavery, would understand the feelings of a nation, who suffered under the Turkish yoke, was subjected to demonic massacres, facing complete extermination – a Genocide,” the message said.

“Real men are those who commit to their promises. We ask you to stay true to the ideals of great Americans. Only the truth will save the world. We continue to believe you,” Sargsyan stressed.
