ARMENIAN, GEORGIAN AND AZERI PARLIAMENTARIANS SIGNED MEMORANDUM ON MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING
Yesterday in Tbilisi Georgian, Armenian and Azeri parliamentarians signed a memorandum on mutual understanding, which will contribute to promotion of initiatives of the South Caucasian parliaments. As reported by "Oreanda" Russian agency, the memorandum and its 2 supplements will outline the necessary framework of inter-parliamentary dialogue and will determine the working programs for the coming 2.5 years. The document was signed by Georgian parliament vice-speaker Vakhtang Kolbaya, Armenian National Assembly vice-speaker Tigran Torosian and Azeri Milli Mejlis representative Siavush Novruzov. According to the data of the Georgian parliament press service, in spite of the conflict, which had sprung up between the Azeri and Armenian parliamentarians during the latest Tbilisi meeting in February, the delegations of the three countries managed to successfully complete the discussion of the memorandum draft. Let us note that within the past two years the dialogue between the parliaments of the three South Caucasian countries has been sponsored by "Linx" British non-governmental organization.
