Armenian team weightlifter Andranik Karapetyan (62 kg) won bronze at Lima-hosted World Youth Championships.

In the snatch, Karapetyan showed the best result, having lifted 120 kg. In the clean & jerk, the sportsman lifted 135 kg to gain the third place with combined 255 kg.

Karrar Mohammed of Iraq lifted 262 kg to win gold.

On May 12, Vardan Militosyan and Razmik Ortetsyan will perform in 69kg weight category.
