AGREEMENTS ON RESUMPTION OF RAIL COMMUNICATION VIA ABKHAZIA REMAIN IN FORCE, GEORGIAN LEADER SAID
Issues of implementation of agreements over Abkhazia arrived at in Sochi in March are planned to be discussed in the course of the coming meeting of the Russian and Georgian presidents in late May. As Georgian leader Eduard Shevardnadze told journalists, "Arka" agency reports, the Sochi meeting accords, in realization of which Russia is interested itself and which provide for resumption of traffic along the Abkhaz strip of the railway and return of refugees to Abkhazia, remain in force as before. "Tbilisi is interested in resumption of the rail communication via Abkhazia, so are Armenia and Azerbaijan," - he said.
