RUSSIAN MEDIA MAGNATE IS GOING TO SELL HIS PUBLISHING HOUSE TO THE "ARMENIANS OF RUSSIA" UNION PRESIDENT, THE GERMAN PAPER REPORTS
22.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Russian media magnate Boris Berezovsky is going to sell the "Commersant" publishing house, belonging to him, the German Frankfurter Rundschau paper reported Thursday.
According to the paper, the Russian multimillionaire of Armenian origin Ara Abrahamian is likely to be the new owner of the publishing house.
"Since 1993 40-year-old Abrahamian has been the president and the main stockholder of "Soglasie" CJSC, which owns a forth of Lomonosov diamond field in Arkhangelsk region, the resources of which amount to 12 billion U.S. dollars. Abrahamian is also the owner of "21st century - Soglasie" publishing house, and besides, he is the president of the "Armenian of Russia" union", the paper reports.
Frankfurter Rundschau also reports that Berezovsky himself refutes rumors concerning talks on the publishing house sale. -0-
