Vladimir Sarukhanyan became the only member of Armenian team to make it European Boxing Championships semifinals.In 60 kg weight class, Sarukhanyan beat Martin Ward of England 22:15, securing himself at least the 3rd place.

2010 European championship and Olympics bronze medal winner Hrachik Javakhyan (64 kg), and Artur Khachatryan (75) dropped out of the championship, having lost to Tom Stalker (England) and Jaba Khositashvili (Georgia).

Ankara- hosted European Boxing Championships will last till June 25.
