THERE ARE NO SERIOUS REASONS FOR PARLIAMENT'S DISSOLUTION, ARMENIAN VICE-SPEAKER THINKS
28.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "There are no serious reasons today to dissolve the parliament and I think no such problem will arise in the future either", said vice-speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Tigran Torosian in the interview to Mediamax, commenting upon the statements of some Armenian politicians concerning the necessity of parliament's dissolution, the political resource of which, in their opinion, is exhausted.
Torosian thinks that any pre-term elections indicate a deep political crisis in the country, while Armenia has no such problem.
The parliamentarian also stressed that elections must not be an end in itself. "Through elections the political forces are taking the responsibility to solve the problems the country is facing, and the question of the possible dissolution of the parliament should not worry the deputies if they work properly", Tigran Torosian said. -0-
