MEMBERS OF IMF MISSION PRESENTED TODAY TO PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN THEIR ASSESSMENTS OF THE ECONOMIC SITUATION IN ARMENIA
15.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. During today's meeting with Armenian President Robert Kocharian, the head of the International Monetary Fund mission, the European director of IMF program for CIS countries Thomas Wolf gave his overall evaluation of the economic situation in Armenia.
As was reported to Mediamax in the press office of the president of Armenia, Robert Kocharian and Thomas Wolf discussed the programs, which are realized by the Armenian Government in cooperation with IMF. The sides also touched upon questions connected with the energy and agricultural spheres of Armenia, as well as the state budget project for 2001.
At Wolf's request, President Kocharian presented the course of realization of new programs financed by "Lindsey" fund, which is patronized by the American billionaire Kirk Kirkorian. The president of Armenia particularly noted that the preparation stage for the realization of these programs is being carried out in present. Already in March 2001 the programs on highway construction will be fulfilled, Robert Kocharian said. -0-
