THE PRIVATIZATION PROCESS OF ARMENIA'S DISTRIBUTIVE POWER NETWORKS WILL END IN SPRING 2001
20.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The winner of the tender for privatization of 4 distributive power networks of Armenia will be announced by February 28, 2001, while the process will end in March 2001.
As was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the Government of Armenia, the government has confirmed the activity regulations and the work schedule of the tender commission on privatization of the four distributive networks.
According to the schedule, government's legal counselor - the American "Chatborn and Park" company will present all the necessary documents to the commission by the end of October. By October 30 the government will confirm the projects of legislative proposals regarding the privatization process, which will then be submitted to the National Assembly of Armenia.
The first variant of the projects of tender documents, which will have received commission's approval, will be sent to the participants of the tender by November 11, whereas the final variant will be sent by February 12, 2001.
4 companies are pretending to the privatization of the 4 distributive power networks of Armenia: the Spanish "Union Fenosa", the American "AES Silk Road", Swiss-Swedish "ABB" and the French "Electricite de France". -0-
