PEOPLR'S PARTY OF ARMENIA AWIATS FOR RESULTS OF TENDER COMMISSION FOR PRIVATIZATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTIVE NETWORKS

"I hope that all the parliamentary factions and groups will show respect to the decision of the Constitutional Court of Armenia according to which Armen Khachatrian will continue its activity as the Speaker of the National Assembly of the state," the Secretary of the Unity faction, deputy of the Armenian parliament from the People's Party Vardan Mkrtchian said to Mediamax during the interview.
The Unity bloc consists of People's Party and Republican Party and forms the parliamentary majority.
According to Mkrtchian the Armenian parliament has to resume the normal regime of its activity and to consider a number of legislative initiatives.
Touching upon the discord between the Republican and People's parties observed during the parliamentary discussions on privatization of power distributive networks of the state Mkrtchian stressed that the People's party is not against the privatization itself but takes "somewhat other approaches regarding the issue of its implementation." The deputy informed that the People's party will express its final position concerning this issue after the tender commission presents to the parliament the results of its activity. -0-
