03.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The highlight of the working session of the government of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh became the discussion of bills about entering amendments in the laws "About local self-government" and "About administrative-territorial division of RNK", was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the government of RNK.
In accord with those bills, the administrative-territorial unit of RNK will not be the region but the province, and the head of the regional administration will be the governor.
The document also plans restoring the historical names of the administrative-territorial units of Nagorno Karabakh: Khachen (instead of Askeran), Dizak (Hadrut), Djrabert (Martakert), Varanda (Martuni), Gyulistan-Shahumian (Shahumian). -0-
