The Egyptians are unwilling to have Islamic leadership. Thus, Muslim Brotherhood’s coming to power is not quite realistic, according to a representative of the Armenian community in Egypt.
Suren Bayramian said in a conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that the Armenian community has not suffered any losses in the clashes to overthrow the Hosni Mubarak regime.
Touching upon the situation in the Armenian community in the context of internal political unrest, he said, “We have always lived in safety and we do now. Neither our cultural heritage, nor religious or other rights are infringed upon. Rather, Egyptian authorities are well-wishing.”
Here Bayramian noted that the Armenian community is troubled by the situation on the whole, as after the overturn of Mubarak regime, various groups got hold of weapon, and there is chaos in the country.
