COMMISSION ON REGULATION QUESTIONS OF SECURITIES MARKET ACTIVITY HAS BEGUN ITS WORK
31.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Commission on regulation questions of securities market activity has begun its work. President Kocharian signed the order of setting up the commission on August 10, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press office of the president of Armenia.
On August 30 the first meeting of the Armenian president with the members of the commission took place, during which questions concerning the providing of full activity of the commission were discussed.
The main task of the commission is to create necessary conditions for transparent activity of securities market.
The Chairman of the commission, Edward Muradian presented to the President the urgent tasks to be settled. President Kocharian noted that the Law "About regulation of securities market" foresees wide powers of the commission, which are enough to realize functions on providing order and legality in the market of securities. According to the president, having such authorities, the commission has to provide a regulated activity of the market. -0-
