Turkish quake toll rises to 432

The death toll in a 7.2-magnitude earthquake in Turkey’s eastern province of Van two days ago rose to 432 people from 366, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s office said in a statement on its website.

The number of people injured since late yesterday also rose, reaching 1,352, the government said. As many as 1,000 people may have died in the tremor that struck Oct. 23, officials have said. Scores of people are still missing, Bloomberg reported.
