THE CRIMINAL CASE ON THE FACT OF THE ATTEMPT UPON THE LIFE OF THE PRESIDENT OF RNK ARKADY GHUKASIAN IS PASSED TO COURT
04.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The criminal case on the fact of the attempt upon the life of the president of RNK Arkady Ghukasian, committed on March 22, was transferred to court on August 2, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office of RNK.
On the basis of the evidences acquired during the preliminary investigation, 16 persons are indicted. One of them (Samvel Babayan, the ex-minister of defense of RNK) is accused of organizing the terrorist act, five are charged with its preparation and realization, two - with misprision of felony, one -with concealment, and seven - with the theft of great number of armament, ammunition and explosives.
The trial of the fact of the attempt upon the life of the president of RNK will start after the acquaintance with the materials of the criminal case, which make up 17 volumes together with the indictment. -0-
