THE SUPREME COURT OF RNK NONSUITED THE ACTION OF THE LEADER OF THE KARABAKH COMMUNISTS
19.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Supreme Court of RNK nonsuited the actions of the candidates of the National Assembly of RNK - the leader of the Karabakh communists Valerie Atajian and Aram Bagirian for declaring invalid the results of the elections in the 9th and 23rd electoral districts accordingly.
Valerie Atajian declared in the court that he is speaking for the "triumph of justice" and is not going to participate in the repeated voting in case the court satisfied his action, reports the correspondent of MEDIAMAX from Stepanakert.
The court considered unconvincing the arguments of the plaintiffs, who had referred to the inaccuracies in the election lists and had charged their opponents and the people empowered to act for them in blackmailing the voters, carrying propaganda on the election day.
Thus, Lernik Galayan and Vahram Balayan, who won the elections in the 9th and 23rd electoral districts accordingly, have preserved their deputy mandates. -0-
