NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFIRMS READINESS TO RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL MONITORING GROUP
Nagorno Karabakh's leadership once again confirms its readiness to admit the international group for monitoring and create all the necessary conditions for the acknowledging with the situation at the very place, NKR MFA's statement says. The document reminds that since 2001 NKR leadership has many times called a number of authoritative international organizations including the UN, PACE, OSCE and the corresponding subdivisions of the US State Department to send an independent monitoring group to Nagorno Karabakh. The Azeri side, however, did its best to prevent such a visit, the paper says. NKR MFA considers that "making statements regarding the unmanageable situation at the Nagorno Karabakh territory, Azeri politicians violating the resolutions adopted at the OSCE Budapest summit of 1994, strive not to allow official Stepanakert to join the negotiation process on the Karabakh conflict settlement. "Nagorno Karabakh authorities do account for the situation in the republic and the territories under its control", - the document underscores. At the same time, NKR MFA reminds that in accordance to the US State Department annual report on drug control, Azerbaijan appears as one of the routes of the international drug traffic. Besides, various successfully acting international terrorist organizations being in immediate t ouch with the al Qaeda were officially registered in Azerbaijan before the tragic September 11, 2001 in the US.
