ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER TO PARTICIPATE CSTO FORUM IN MOSCOW
Today Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian will take part in the meeting of the heads of the defense departments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-countries. The sitting of the CIS defense ministers with S. Sargsian's participation will be also held in Russia's capital city December 10. Let us note that according to the Russian sources, the ministers are to confirm the thesis on formation of the CSTO united headquarters to start functioning in Moscow January 2004. The issues referring the management of the collective forces of quick deployment in the Central Asia will be also viewed. The matter will partially concern the military objects located in the region and meant for the joint use of the CSTO member-states. The summit participants are as well to discuss the principal directions of the CSTO-NATO dialogue. Russia's President Vladimir Putin is expected to receive the forum members. To remind, Armenia, Belarus, Kirghisia, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan form the CSTO.
