Abraham: Farias is a good boxer, so I’ll need to act carefully

Former IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26 KO’s) will try to turn his career around in the new year against Argentinean Pablo Farias (19-1, 11 Ko’s) in a scheduled 12 round bout at the Baden Arena in Offenburg, Baden-Wurttemburg, Germany Jan 14.

Fighting at 168lbs wasn’t a good fit for Abraham, who plans on getting his weight down to 160lbs and trying to resurrect his career at that weight. But for this fight against the Argentinean Farias, the fight will take place at super middleweight, boxingnews24 reported.

“We'll see what I feel like at super middleweight. If all goes well, next time I'll try my strength at middle weight. It's important make s smooth shift to avoid mistakes,” Abraham said.

Abraham aims to keep his distance in a clash against the Argentinean. “Farias is a good boxer, so I’ll need to act carefully,” Abraham said.

“I was rather shaken after my last two defeats. But I'm fine now, I forgot all about them. I'm ready to fight again,” sportbox.ru quoted the boxer as saying.
