CSTO action plan to address mounting tensions in Afghanistan

CSTO action plan will be revised by presidents of CSTO states on January 20 in view of accelerating tensions in Afghanistan after 2014, according to CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha.

“Such proposals on joint actions have already been developed with experts to be revised by presidents of CSTO states,” he stated.

Mr. Bordyuzha noted that presidents of CSTO states were previously due to work out measures to address mounting tensions in Afghanistan following international attempts to foster security and withdrawal of most of the Western coalition troops from this country.
