Armenian Agriculture Ministry addressed international institutions to gain assistance in introducing agricultural insurance in the country, Minister of Agriculture said.

“We should acknowledge the steps to be taken for the project implementation to initiate them in the coming year,” Sergo Karapetyan said, adding that t is a long-term and consumable process.

Introduction of agricultural insurance system (crop, perennial plants and livestock insurance) will reduce villagers’ loss, compensate their income loss due to unfavorable weather conditions and force majeure situations.
