The vice-speaker of Armenian parliament commented on the statement by his Georgian counterpart Fridon Todua suggesting that “both Azerbaijan and Georgia will restore their territorial integrity, regaining occupied lands.”
Eduard Sharmazanov called the statement above absurd, noting that no Armenian official has ever allowed himself any inappropriate statement on the problems of a third side.
“Georgian Kartlis Tskhovreba manuscripts contain a clear description of nations aboriginal to the region, namely, Armenians and Georgians, while Azeris were never mentioned,” Sharmazanov said.
“Todua might need to familiarize himself with his nation's historic chronicles to realize he owes an apology to Armenia,” the vice-speaker concluded.
