According to data collected by a third-party Twitter app called Twopcharts, the micro blogging site lands a whopping 11 new accounts each second.

i4u.com reports that the study Twopcharts performed also hints that Twitter could pass the 500 million account mark next month. Granted only about 100 million of the accounts the site has now are active according to twitter.

There are 465 million accounts total on the service right now.
