ARMENIAN LEADER AND INDIAN PRIME MINISTER VIEWED POSSIBILITIES OF MILITARY-TECHNICAL COOPERATION
Today Armenian president Robert Kocharian and Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee discussed in Delhi the possibilities of bilateral military-technical cooperation. As reported by Mediamax agency, the parties also discussed the prospects of the interaction started between the law enforcement bodies of the two countries. R. Kocharian thanked the Indian party for its assistance in Armenia's joining to the South-West transport corridor. Emphasizing the high level of the political dialogue available between Armenia and India, the interlocutors noted about the necessity of raising the level of commercial-economic relations as well. Among the prospective trends of cooperation the parties pointed out information technologies, jeweler's art, science and technique, agriculture, traditional medicine and pharmacology. Atal Bihari Vajpayee stated about the readiness to grant $5 million for assistance to the projects to be carried out in the sphere of agriculture and of processing industry specifically.
