OSCE SUBJECTED TO SHARP CRITICISM ARRESTS IN BAKU
Today director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Christian Strohal expressed his deep concern over the surge of arrests of the leaders and representatives of the opposition that followed the arguable presidential election in Azerbaijan. As reported by Mediamax agency, K. Strohal particularly censured the arrests of a large number of the election commissions' members, who refused to ratify the outcomes of the election in the constituencies. "Security of all the members of the election commissions, who honestly performed their duty should be guaranteed, and the arrested people should be immediately discharged", - the ODIHR director stated.
