OSCE MEDIATORS TO HOLD MEETINGS ON KARABAKH ISSUE WITH AZERI AND ARMENIAN MFA HEADS EARLY OCTOBER
The co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk group for Karabakh conflict settlement are supposed to meet with Armenian and Azeri foreign ministers early October within the framework of the UNESCO conference to be held in Paris. As reported by Interfax-Azerbaijan agency, new Russian co-chairman of the OSCE MG Yuri Merzlyakov told journalists. At the same time he expressed satisfaction with the meeting with the US and French co-chairmen of the MG held in Vienna September 15. Yuri Merzlyakov also noted that some US mass media misinterpreted his words concerning the necessity of involving Nagorno Karabakh in the negotiations on the conflict. "I simply noted that it is desirable. But in the long run everything depends on Azerbaijan and Armenia as well as on the co-chairmen's opinion", - the diplomat emphasized.
