2012 Olympics official ball named Albert

Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley has set himself a 20-game target to force his way into England's Euro 2012 plans.

A series of ankle injuries have delayed the 22-year-old's promotion to the senior England squad.

Cleverley, speaking at the launch of adidas' official ball for the 2012 Olympics, said: 'If I get into the form like at the start of the season, then I can be part of the squad.'

Cleverley adopted the team's colors as he joined former Olympic gold medalist Jonathan Edwards at Coventry City's Ricoh Arena, one of the Games football venues, the launch new adidas ball, The Albert.

The colorful design was the brains of Bob Ashcroft, from Derby, who used the cockney rhyming slang 'Albert Hall' as his inspiration behind the name for the ball and he joined Cleverley at Thursday's, March 1 launch, Daily Mail reported.
