Russian President congratulates composer Georgy Movsesyan on his 65th anniversaryAugust 2, 2010 - 15:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated composer, People’s Artist of Russia Georgy Movsesyan on his 65th anniversary. “As a brilliant composer and arranger, you have gained professional recognition and created wonderful compositions, including songs and soundtracks for films. Today, your compositions are very popular among representatives of different generations,” the congratulatory telegram reads. Georgy Movsesyan was born on August 2, 1945, in Kharkov. He is a graduate of Gnesyns Music College. Movsesyan composed his first song in 1965. In 2001 he was awarded the title of People’s Artist of Russia.
