Minas Avetisyan’s frescos badly need restorationSeptember 1, 2010 - 15:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - An Italian specialist is arriving in Armenia on September 1 to start restoration of Armenian painter Minas Avetisyan’s frescos. “The government has allocated AMD 20mln for the purpose,” RA Culture Ministry official Sona Hautyunyan said. “If everything goes well, we will see 2 restored frescos in the government building on November 3, 2010.” 6 more frescos also badly need restoration. The nation, located on its own small jetty off the Arabian Peninsula, is a new destination on the art-world grand tour.
