Gerard Depardieu may address the issue of Genocide in his works

World-known actor Gerard Depardieu said he has many friends among descendants of Armenian Genocide survivors in France.

“Their ability to preserve their language and traditions through decades is admirable. There are truly great people among French Armenians,” he told a news conference in Yerevan.

Sharing his impressions of the Armenian Genocide Memorial, the actor said: “Right after my arrival in Yerevan, I visited the Memorial. What I saw made as strong impact on me as the Holocaust Memorial in Tel-Aviv.”

As he noted, the process of Armenian Genocide recognition has already been launched in Turkey.

In conclusion, Depardieu said he may address the issue of Genocide in his works.

Gerard Depardieu is in Armenia to participate in Karot international festival.
