PanARMENIAN.Net - World-known actor Gerard Depardieu was awarded Karot 2010 festival prize.

Armenian National Assembly (RA NA) speaker Hovik Abrahamyan handed over the festival prize along with the RA NA Medal of Honor to the actor.

At the award ceremony, the actor thanked singer Flora Martirosyan for a cappella performance of Dle Yaman song, as well as the musician Levon Malkhasyan and other laureates of Karot prize.

Depardieu gave high assessment to the festival, which marks the contributions of representatives of art, sports, science, education and other spheres.

In conclusion, Abrahamyan and Depardieu discussed the possibility of organizing the next Karot festival in Paris.
