RA Ministry of Culture to finance ReAnimania festival also in future

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Modern Art Department of the RA Ministry of Culture Sona Harutyunyan said that the Ministry is delighted to cooperate with ReAnimania festival. It is included in the permanent list of festivals financed by the RA Ministry of Culture, Harutyunyan told a press conference on September 7.

According to her, the Ministry will allocate AMD 2mln to ReAnimania festival in 2011.

“The RA Ministry of Culture has contributed significantly to organization of all programs of the festival, especially of the Armenian one. Besides, various countries’ embassies in Armenia, as well as the British Council have also assisted the festival,” said President of ReAnimania festival Vrezh Kasuni. He expressed gratitude to representatives of the Brazilian and French embassies, simultaneously naming the German embassy as the festival founder.

“We participate in ReAnimania festival for the first time. Two Brazilian animators submitted their works this year, but we are waiting for the third festival. And you can always rely on us,” said representative of the Brazilian embassy Floriano Reges, adding that negotiations are held on retrospective screening of Armenian animated cartoons in Brazil.

“It is a great honor for us that ReAnimania festival will be opened with screening of The Illusionist French animation film and that another two French films will be featured at the festival - The Triplets of Belleville and Kerity. I assure you that these films are already in Armenia,” noted Jean Paul Martin, French Embassy Advisor on Cultural and Cooperation Issues.

Vrezh Kasuni added that currently negotiations are held on screening of Armenian animated films in Germany and England.
