Yerevan to host events dedicated to Alain Robbe-Grillet

PanARMENIAN.Net - French Embassy Advisor on Cultural and Cooperation Issues Jean Paul Martin said that Catherine Robbe-Grillet will present several programs dedicated to her husband – author and scriptwriter Alain Robber-Crillet – in Yerevan.

Yerevan will host a range of events, including screening of films, lectures and seminars dedicated to Alain Robbe-Grillet, Martin told a press conference in Yerevan.

Catherine Robbe-Grillet noted for her part that her husband wrote over 10 scripts, including the most famous one – Last Year at Marienbad– which was awarded the best script prize at the Venetian Festival in 1961.

The film will be screened in Yerevan. Paris and New York also hosted screening of the film as part of events dedicated to the writer.

The press conference was followed by a seminar, during which Catherine Robbe-Grilliet held a cross-declamation of her works as well as those by her husband, thus mixing the past and present.

Catherine Robbe-Grillet told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that Canada also hosted events dedicated to her husband. However, having Armenian roots, she decided to highlight the Armenian program.
