Czech glass artist Ivana Šrámková to teach Armenian children

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new children’s program - Creativity and Imagination - and a new exhibition - Geometric Forms and Images - by Czech glass artist Ivana Šrámková were launched at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) in Yerevan on November 9, 2010.

The “Creativity and Imagination” program at the CCA will be offering special creativity and art workshops for children aged 6-12, based on the exhibition of Ivana Šrámková’s artworks that will be exhibited at the Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery till March 2011. “Our trainers will encourage children to think about art, to use their imagination and be creative”, said the Programming and Education Director of the CCA Astghik Marabyan, “They will no longer visit the Center as pure spectators; instead, they will be offered a rewarding and interactive experience with art”.

The first workshop was held on November 9, 2010, in the presence of Czech artist Ivana Šrámková herself, for the students of Zatik orphanage. Starting November 13, such workshops will also be offered on Saturdays to families – by preliminary appointment.

“I am very happy to have this program in the frameworks of my exhibition. The children’s mind is very pure, and I am looking forward to seeing their spontaneous reaction and how they will respond to the artworks, what will come out of their interaction with art”, said Czech artist Ivana Šrámková.
