State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater faces serious problems

PanARMENIAN.Net - The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater has only one stage, what greatly complicates the work, theater director Kamo Hovhannesyan said.

“We use it to hold common and dress rehearsals, perform shows, which is highly unsuitable,” he told a news conference in Yerevan.

“The building was not initially meant for opera and ballet performances. It was projected as a Culture House,” Hovhannesyan said, going on to speak of other problems the theater faces, including lack of accommodation and old musical instruments.
