Gevorg Gevorgyan: local TV channels should broadcast Armenian films

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian TV channels prefer broadcasting serials and most popular films in order to get more profit from advertisement, director of national cinema center said.

“Films of the national cinema center are being shown by Public Television of Armenia only,” Gevorg Gevorgyan told a news conference on January 18.

“We have recently signed agreements with Armenia, Shant and AR channels to provide them with home films free of charge,” he said. “We will also expand the Kinoashun (Cinema Autumn) project to propagandize Armenian films.”
