Maxim Vengerov: UNICEF youth orchestra is Armenia’s prideFebruary 21, 2011 - 17:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - World-known violinist and conductor, Grammy award winner Maxim Vengerov said that UNICEF youth orchestra is Armenia’s pride. “I am proud of the fact that there are such talented children in Armenia,” the musician told journalists. Vengerov said that he has already rehearsed with the orchestra, adding that its performance is wonderful. “I do love working with young musicians. Possibly, I have inherited it from my mother, who always worked with children,” he said . Referring to the February 22 concert in Yerevan, Vengerov said that he has already rehearsed with Armenia’s Youth Orchestra. “It is a wonderful orchestra, and I am happy to conduct it for the first time here, in Armenia,” he said.
