New cinema to feature Armenian films will open in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - A new cinema to feature Armenian films will open in Yerevan.As an Armenian filmmaker, the president of Golden Apricot Festival Harutyun Khachatryan told a news conference, private cinemas in our country see no benefit in screening Armenian movies.

“To repair the situation, we asked the Yerevan Mayor to provide a movie theater to increase the awareness of the local audience about Armenian films which are mainly known abroad.”

Cinema opening will be timed to the launch of Golden Apricot International Film Festival due July 11-17.
