It is important to have renewable energy sources inside the country, as currently Armenia is importing 2/3 of energy sources, Lubeck told journalists in Jermuk town, Vayots Dzor region of Armenia. According to him, hydropower plants are also advantageous, as carbon dioxide is not emitted. “Hopefully, carbon dioxide emissions will reduce by 30t in Armenia upon completion of the program on construction of mini hydro power plants,” said Lubeck.
