RA Prime Minister, Glendale Mayor discuss cooperation outlooks in tourism and trade![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian, who is on a visit to Armenia to participate in the All-Armenian congress: "Situation with Study of Western Armenian Language in Diaspora." The congress is organized at the initiative of the Armenian Ministry of Diaspora, the RA government's press service reported. Ara Najarian said that positive changes have been recorded in Armenia since his last visit in 2003. Greeting the guest, Mr. Sargsyan attached importance to the role of Glendale's Diaspora. The two men referred to the problem of preservation of the Armenian identity and stressed the importance of activity of the RA Ministry of Diaspora. According to them, Return Home program of the Ministry is successful and is aimed at acknowledgement of the Armenian identity. Besides, cooperation outlooks in the fields of tourism and trade were in the focus of discussion. The Armenian Prime Minister said it is necessary to stir up communication among the Armenian-American Chamber of Commerce, Armenian Development Agency and National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
