A. Avetisyan ASA CJSC fined for production of Barcelona, Real and Juventus ice creams

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition decided to fine A. Avetisyan ASA CJSC, an ice cream producer, at the amount of AMD 500,000 for unfair competition.

The company used the famous teams’ names on wrappers of its ice cream.

The company’s lawyer said that A. Avetisyan ASA CJSC had a verbal agreement with the leadership of these world brands. “We applied to the Intellectual Property Agency to register these names but have not received an answer yet,” the lawyer said.

The lawyer added that ice creams with such names have been withdrawn from production.
