Tigran Sargsyan: results of talks on gas prices to be announced in 2 months

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government is negotiating new gas tariff policy, Armenian Prime Minister said.

“ArmRusgasprom will announce the results of the talks in 2 months,” Tigran Sargsyan told reporters on September 10. “The issue was discussed during Russian President’s visit to Armenia and ArmRusgasprom was instructed to employ international practice in Armenia.”

By decision of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the gas prices have risen 37.5%, totaling AMD 132 against the previous AMD 96 for ordinary consumers, and 13%, totaling USD 243.13 for 1 thousand cu m for enterprises respectively since April 1, 2010.

Gazprom is expecting a new rise in prices for Armenia, Moldova and Belarus in 2011.
