Fines in Armenia’s gambling industry totaled AMD 15.9mln in January-September 2010October 11, 2010 - 17:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In January-September 2010, the Armenian Ministry of Finance issued licenses for organization of 13 games with wins and three gambling houses. 18 licenses for organization of games with wins and five license of gaming houses were recognized as expired, the Ministry’s press service reported. At the same time, 16 licenses for organization of games with wins, three licenses of gambling houses and one license for organization of lottery were suspended. During this period, gambling houses, organizers of games with wins and lotteries were fined at the amount of AMD 12.4mln, 15.9mln and 700,000 respectively. Besides, state duties at the amount of AMD 485mln were paid as provided by the law. 92 licenses for organization of games with wins, 10 licenses for gambling houses and 4 licenses for organization of lotteries are effective in Armenia as of October 1, 2010.
