10% inflation to be recorded in Armenia by end of 2010

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Bagrat Asatryan said that 10% inflation will be most likely recorded in Armenia by the end of 2010, what will have a negative impact on the economic development and tax-budgetary indices in 2011.

If the state budget revenues increase by 10%, it will be coverage of inflation, but not growth, Asatryan told journalist, commenting on 7.8% inflation recorded in January-September 2010.

As for decrease in GDP 2.8% growth in January-September 2010, he said that it is too low index, especially, taking into consideration the 25% drop recorded in September compared to August.
