Release of U.S. secret cables not to influence USD rate

PanARMENIAN.Net - The release of more than 250 000 secret cables by Wikileaks will not have any impact on USD rate, according to former chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia.

“Should the documents contain information about the U.S. economy it will first of all affect the financial market of the country and only then the national currency rate,” Bagrat Asatryan said.

“It’s not the first ever dump of documents of the kind,” he added.
