EBRD to diversify its portfolio in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) office in Yerevan Valeriu Razlog said that EBRD considers the possibility of joining capitals of Armenia’s private companies.

“It is an interesting product from the point of view of market economy development,” Razlog said on November 30.

It should be noted that the international structure already participates in capitals of a range of Armenian banks.

According to Razlog, EBRD is first of all interested in food industry companies and telecommunications sector, etc. “Our goal is not to focus on one sector, but to diversify our credit portfolio,” Razlog said, expressing hope that the bank will manage to implement several projects in this direction in 2011.
