RA government to address food safety issues

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government has introduced amendments to the law on food safety.

According to Deputy Economy Minister Karine Minasyan, the ban on import and sale of expired food will help protect people’s health.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said for his part that no product without bar code will be imported in the Armenia.

“Otherwise, we will not be allowed to join the free trade agreement with the EU,” he said.
