Ameriabank's 150 safety deposit boxes to have their owners within 2-3 months

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank CJSC believes that its safety deposit boxes will enjoy demand among the bank clients.

“We have many clients who initially asked for this service and, in my opinion, these boxes will find their owners within a couple of months,” Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO of the bank Artak Hanesyan said in Yerevan.

According to him, the service will be offered at average market terms – AMD 60,000 per year.

On March 2, Ameriabank presented its new branch – Moskovyan, which among other services will offer safety deposit boxes for legal entities and individuals having an account in the bank. From March 1 to 31, all clients, who have an account in the bank, will have the opportunity to use safety deposit boxes at a 10% discount. The bank’s clients will have the opportunity to use the safety deposit boxes for 1, 3, 6 or 12 month term.

The safety deposit boxes are under twenty-four-hour control in an especially equipped hall with a modern safety system.

Hanesyan added that the new service will be offered in another new branch of the bank – Komitas, which is scheduled to be opened in June-July.

Ameriabank’s Development Director Tigran Jrbashyan added that the bank has applied a world standard for this service, specifically, “no second key” principle is in place. Thus, if a client loses his key, the bank will be have to order it at the company with which it cooperates (Finnish company, a leader in the field.)

Besides, the bank offers additional insurance at the amount of AMD 30mln irrespective of what is placed in a deposit box. To this end, a detailed procedure for access to deposit boxes was developed based on the best world practice.

At the same time, as nobody knows what will be kept in the deposit boxes, they will be basically provided to “reliable” clients.
