RA President defines economic priorities of Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting on priorities in the country’s economic policy.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan, Presidential Staff Chief Karen Karapetyan, ministers of finance, economy, agriculture, energy and natural resources, urban development, labor and social affairs, head of the Central Bank of Armenia, head of the RA State Revenue Committee, head of the RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition and others participated in the meeting.

Mr. Sargsyan noted that the meeting is aimed at defining certain priorities in the current situation conditioned by negative external economic signals.

The President said that in case of delays in or non-fulfillment of any program, no explanations should be accepted.

“If a huge and important program is failed, certain conclusions should be made, otherwise, we know that those who are guilty of it will find dozens of justifications to explain the reasons behind the failure,” Sargsyan said.
